YOUTH DEPARTMENT PICNIC HELD…

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, the Youth department held a picnic at Gresham Park in Atlanta.  The coordinators for this event were Dec. Larry Coleman and Sis. LaTonya Marsh.  Even though it was a youth event, all the adults were also invited. 

The park was within 1 mile of the local church.  Food and monetary donations were gladly received from various church members and the New Generation youth choir. Bro. Emmanuel Deas used his truck to help take items needed for the picnic and helped Sis. LaTonya Marsh set up.  Sis. Marsh wielded the grill and prepared the side dishes. 

There was a lot of games played, fun, fellowship and food. There are times when we just need to have some good, plain old-fashioned fun and this was one of those days!! I am sure the members and guests will all agree!!!

Taylor McIntyre wanted her birthday to be celebrated surrounded by her “church buddies” so she wanted her parents to bring her cake and ice cream to the park, which somehow they did! Taylor happily enjoyed her celebration, and birthday song with “the saints.” Great idea Taylor
