by Natalie Patman, Contributing Writer
Hallelujah, one of Progressives own has been blessed with the beautiful reward of retirement! Sis. Ernestine Bush has left an exemplary career of thirty years to bask in the glory of her retirements benefits, relaxation and peace of mind.
Sis. Bush embarked on her thirty-year career with BellSouth Business Systems in the year of 1972 and culminated her tenure as of November 1, 2002. During her occupational relationship with BellSouth, Sis. Bush maintained a stellar repertoire as a Customer Service Associate. In the course of her tenure with BellSouth, Sis. Bush received numerous awards and certificates. It is no surprise that Sis. Bush was such an esteemed employee, her work ethic and sense of duty was incomparable to most. When asked how would you describe yourself as an employee, Sis. Bush stated that she enjoyed working. She did not do her job grudgingly and with discontent. She also stated that she was a team oriented employee. She did not shy away from an opportunity to work with others in order to complete a task. Her main concern was to work efficiently toward getting the job done. Sis. Bushs work motto is "Always work unto the Lord and not others. If you please the Lord then youll please them." It is apparent that Sis. Bushs success is the result of a sober mind that projects the characteristics of Christ.
In lieu of her retirement, Sis. Bush plans to embrace all that life has to offer. It is her deep desire to start anew by taking courses dealing with the nuances of the travel agency business. She plans to open a travel agency in partnership with a close friend. Also, it is Sis. Bushs desire to continue to reside in the Atlanta area, but will respect the wishes of her husband, McKinley, and is unsure of what the future may hold. Presently, Sis. Bush is simply resting until she begins to make her visions for the future come to fruition. Sis. Bushs cup of blessings is truly running over and she has not hesitated to exalt the Lord in all his goodness. Well done, thy good and faithful employee!
