Sis. Alisha Alford

Alisha Alford, along with others, recently represented Clayton County in attending a Leadership Development conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alisha’s mother accompanied her on the trip. In Salt Lake City, Alisha attended a conference with over 12,000 people from many different states and countries, including Puerto Rico, Canada, Guam, and Germany. Alisha graduated from the Leadership Development Academy while at the conference. The LDA is a two-day workshop where people from different states form groups and work as a team to complete different tasks. Proper business and dinner etiquette was also taught at the conference.

Alisha has maintained a 4.0 G.P.A. up until now. She is a Junior at Riverdale High School. Upon completion of the 10th grade, Alisha was nominated for the Governors Honor’s Program of Clayton County for High Achievers and was a county finalist. She also received a certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Academics.

Alisha is generally quiet and shy, but is becoming more out-going.

Alisha undertakes any task she accepts with sincerity and dedication. She is the church librarian, works on the Hospitality Committee, sings with the Youth Choir, and is a faithful Sunday school student.

Alisha plans to further her education upon graduation from high school by attending Spelman College, here in Atlanta where she plans to major in Business Management.
