YEAR END SERVICE 2008, WELCOME 2009!!!

On Wednesday night, December 31, 2008, saints,
friends, and visitors gathered together in praise, worship and
fellowship to celebrate all that the Lord had done in the year 2008, and
in anticipation of what He will do in the year 2009. There was no
better place to be than in the House of the Lord at this place and at
this time.
The Lord truly met us in the service and praises
went up to Him in various forms and ministries. Jubilee songs were
sung, songs of praise were administered through the primary class, New
Generation Youth Choir, Progressive Gospel Choir, and through a solo.
Song and dance was rendered through the drama and dance ministry by
which everyone was extremely blessed and ministered to. An original
poem was recited by Bro. Berry and recitations were given by the Junior
Sunday School Class.

Pastor Deas invited all of the youth members and
youth visitors to come before the church so that all could see the
potential the church could have through the youth. He charged the youth
to get Christ in their lives and give themselves over to Him, and to get
involved in the church. He urged them to bug their parents to get them
to church so that they could be in the services.
The Word of the Lord was expounded over and over
again through exhortation from the Lord through all of the ministers,
aspiring ministers and one of the deacons; they were: Aspiring
Ministers Alan Murray and La’Monte Jackson, Elders Elect Tarryl
McIntyre, Steve Sweet and Matthew Pinkney, and Deacon Al Alford. We were
all exhorted to lay aside our old habits and ways, and continue in the
ways of the Lord, and to not make new resolutions that we will not keep,
but that our resolve should be to be faithful, live a holy life and to
serve the Lord with everything we have got during the New Year, and that
we will need the Holy Spirit in our lives to accomplish this goal.
The service ended with prayer and exhortation from
Pastor Deas. After the service everyone greeted each other with
embraces and kisses. The Lord was praised in this place on this
night!!! To Him be all the glory, praise and honor, forever and ever,
Amen!
