Music Ministry Update…

The music ministry has been under the direction of co-directors Bro. Kenneth Jackson and Sis. Dawn Deas for ten years.  Bro. Eldrin Deas played the keyboard and bass guitar, while Bro. Emmanuel Deas has been the main percussionist for approximately 20 years.  Bro. Timothy Jackson also served as percussionist.  Sis. Dawn Deas assisted with the Sanctuary Choir, and directs the Youth and Women’s Choirs.  Bro. Kenneth Jackson served as primary director for the Sanctuary Choir and was responsible for the Choir concert, December 2009 during the Church & Pastoral Anniversary.   

On Sunday, September 19, 2010 Bro. Kenneth Jackson was honored and presented a plaque for his ten years of service at the church.  Sis. Josiland Jackson was also recognized along with him for the time spent serving on the sanctuary and women’s choirs.  Bro. Jackson felt the Lord was calling him to move on and to go forth with his musical skills.
